I can probably tell you more than you ever needed to know about over 20 varieties of apples. Born and raised on an apple orchard in North Scituate, RI, my screenname may or may not have been Apple Queen over 2 decades ago. Ironically, I am deathly allergic to bees. *face palm* God has a great sense of humor.
I'm a cat mom to two adorable fur-babies, Mia and Ari, who are technically cats but definitely act more like dogs. I'm also Auntie to an absolutely amazing 3-year-old princess named Addy.
My personal goal for 2023: to become a “morning person.” How it’s going so far…um…let’s just say it’s already 2024 and there’s room for improvement.
Oh, and I absolutely love photography...but you already knew that.
Photography is a way to capture what words cannot describe. I believe there is nothing more powerful than a photograph. Images contain memories, emotions, connections, experiences, feelings. Throughout my life, I have been continuously reminded that we have a finite amount of time on this earth and every day is a blessing. It is so easy to forget joyful moments (or forget to truly appreciate them when they are happening) when we are constantly problem-solving and dealing with every day stress. We are always thinking too far into the future or trying to resolve something that happened in the past (or at least I've been guilty of this).
As a wedding photographer, my goal is to not only capture those authentic, blissful moments for you to revisit with your loved ones, but to also remind you to be present. To relax and truly soak up every tender moment, every possible ounce of joy that the day brings.
I fell in love with developing black & white film in a darkroom 18 years ago. It was (and still is) pure magic! I'm more than a photographer- I'm a friend with a heart and soul that's on this earth to bring and preserve light, love, and joy for others. I'm here for you.
I now specialize in wedding and engagement photography in New England. I also have a soft spot for maternity portrait sessions. I began designing and offering legacy wedding albums this year.
I began second shooting weddings for other talented photographers in 2021 and booked my first solo wedding in 2022!
Stacey Lillian Photography was born! It all began with offering mini sessions at my family's farm, Barden Family Orchard, during the harvest season.
I bought my first Digital SLR camera (professional digital camera) before vacationing to Aruba in 2021. I quickly upgraded to a mirrorless camera, the Canon R6.
I began my love affair with black & white film photography. I still have a darkroom set up in my house to this day! My walls are filled with fine art prints I've developed over the years (mostly inspired by my family's gorgeous apple orchard).
